It was a well-thought trip for our gang. We agreed to meet at 5:00 in the morning @ South Bus Terminal. Luckily, we had the first trip @ 6AM instead of of its original sched at 7AM... THAT'S A TIP!! BE EARLIER THAN EVERYBODY. AS THEY SAY THE EARLY BIRD CATCHES THE EARLY WORM. hahaha.

Anyhow, we rode the CERES bus going to Bato via Barili. The whole ride was about 3 hours shorter than expected. When we arrived there, I was awed by how wonderful the place was. Everything seemed to be perfect-- the reception area, infinity pool, the sea of course, and everything in between. That place was perfect escape from my busy schedule as a teacher.. Darn.

Added bonus was there were only few guests of the place because of its distance. ahaha. Glad to feel like a resort owner for a short time.. ^ ___ ^ Anyway, we stayed in a family room because were 6 people all in all. The room was spacious enough for us. I was totally satisfied with the place especially with the warm welcome shown by the staff there. I'd surely be back there some time in the future.

Here are the positive comments I have about the resort.
* The resort is neat, organized, sosyal ( for the elite ^ __ ^) and the landscape was creatively designed.
* The staff and all the people there are kind and approachable.
* The place has WIFI connections, infinity pool, jacuzzi, restaurant and etc.
* Service done was quite good and the money you pay is truly worth it. :)

BUT----> here are some things you also need to know about them
* The foods in their resto is quite pricy.
* The WIFI connections didn't reach our room so you had to stay at the lobby to have FB, Twitter, and skype...

TIPS-- You can try walking towards Alegria's town market and you can pass by some resto to dine there. It only takes 5-10 minutes on foot.

Next time you head SOUTH, visit Costa de Letecia. You won't miss it because it just along the main road.

Mandarin Tea Garden - SM Cebu

I first heard this resto from beau knowing that this is quite famous in Mindanao and the price also is very competitive. So when I tried dining there for the first time, he was right. (MONEY matters)

My VIEWS about this PLACE
Good comments
1. The place is quite spacious unlike other restaurants in which you have to queue first before eating. :)
2. The waiter and staff are somewhat warm and quick in spotting people ( hungry ones to be exact ) who just entered the place.
3. The smell of the food also reminds me of authentic Dimsum. No joke that is.
4. Most importantly, the prices are really reasonable.  For example, you only have to  pay P250-350 that is already good for too. Plus, you'd leave the place bloated already. ahahahaha

Bad comment :(
1. Foods tasted greasy which is actually a trademark of Dimsum cuisine.

Here are the pics of some foods I've captured whenever I visit there. ENJOY!!
A mix of chicken soup, hakao, Chinese tea in white pot :) ,  fried rice,  sweet n sour fish,  century egg the one in black, and my fave boiled scallops and Sago.:) Happy tummy indeed!

JOED's Lutong hapon

One of  my hobbies is to browse blogs and choose nice and good foods that are not found in malls. ^ __ ^
Then commonly, many of them always mention about JOED's Lutong Hapon. Of course, off I went to this place with the help of their facebook page.

MY BEST DESCRIPTION OF THIS PLACE-- Authentic Japanese foods served the Filipino way that's also suited to the  Filipino's wallet size.  ^ __ ^ hahahaha

The INFAMOUS Warm Brownie Cup @ La Merea

Warm Brownie Cup with Vanilla Ice Cream is one of comfort foods ever created by mankind. Sorry for that exaggeration..   I am pretty sure that I'm not alone in this kind of sentiment, right? ^ ___ ^
When I think of I.T. Park and Paseo Banawa, one food always pop in mah mind.... WARM BROWNIE CUP!!

REASONS to EAT this:
1.) It will automatically lighten your mood. ^ ___ ^
2.) If you're feeling sad, then this food is the cure for that. ^ ___ ^
3. This food will give you happiness and peace of mind. ^ ____ ^

Trust me. If it worked well for me then it would have the same effect on you as well. Grab your own warm brownie cup and experience BLISS!

JUST INN - Dalaguete, Cebu

It was a loooong weekend at that time because of the holidays on MONDAY and TUESDAY. As expected, all resorts were somewhat full and occupied. While browsing on the net, I came across a reasonable place to stay, JUST INN. To my surprise, it was cheaper than I expected that is P600/ night with airconditioned room already. How cool is that!!
****
Just Inn is a small, private cottage style resort located in the lovely town of Dalaguete, Cebu in the Philippines. If you are seeking a unique, authentic experience, you should consider visiting us and staying in one of our cottages. We have six of them within a gated community. ** How to get there from the city
---> Ride a bus to Dalaguete and get off to their Poblacion specifically their Cemetery and you can ride some PEDICAB going to the place,Just Inn.

GOOD THINGS about the place
1. As I already mentioned, the rates of this place is way so cheap.
2. The place gave a Filipino ambiance that is the traditional scene like living in a BAHAY KUBO.
3. The menu and their price was also reasonable and foods were delectably good. YUMMY

BAD THINGS about the place
1. The room seemed to have insects and mosquitoes inside the room.
2. The floor also was kind of old so it gave me a creepy feeling to imagine some ghost could peep there.. HAHA

Korean Lunch @ HARUBANG

Our first destination that time was Miga because of their unlimited Sam Gyeop Sal but unfortunately, they were closed so we just proceeded to Harubang which was just a few blocks away. Anyhow, the place in Harubang was silent  and peaceful because it was lunch time. YAY! Their  Sam Gyeop Sal ( Lettuce Wraps) always comes in 2 orders so we just ordered 2 then with soup and rice. Their foods were healthy and yummy with some side dishes. Overall, it was almost a perfect lunch date already except for their service. I didn't feel that at all. It was like if you need some things from them you must  to go to the counter and request. Quite a hassle. :(

Well, probably, we are not Koreans so they are not that accommodating.. Damn.. :(

Casual Lunch @ Harbour City SM

We were in search of a tasty steamed rice so we headed to Harbour City.
This place is one of the resto that serves comfort foods like their Chinese dishes.
We had Pork Steamed Rice each paired with Mushroom Siomai and Cabbage Roll Siomai. Forgot the exact name of this one.. :) My apologies. Lastly, we had Halo-halo for dessert. The foods were reasonable and they were indeed satisfying. Plus, the ambiance of the place is relaxing which contributed to the make our dining pleasant enough. Truly, I won't get tired to go back there again and savor their Chinese dishes.

I must say, Two Thumbs for you guys.. ~ > ( ^ ^ )

Surprising treats from PIzza HUT!!

It was a Saturday afternoon and it was time to eat some snacks... hmmm hmmm..
Our feet led us to this place, Pizza Hut. Suddenly I remembered something that my sis told me about this "P 99" meal . I asked the waitress about it. To my surprise, it was a   separate menu. The "P99" meal is consist of 3 parts. First is their appetizers which are salad or soup. Second one is their pizza gallore or their pasta gallore or meals with rice. And the last one was their drinks which are iced tea or soda.

Wow, it was so surprising. When our foods arrived one by one, I was amazed how big the servings were and how tasty and creamy their dishes were too. It was heaven. In my case, I had Caesar's salad, Carbonara and Coke while beau had creamy mushroom soup, Hawaiian pizza and iced tea. It was the best snack ever in my life. Plus, we had Choco Lava for our dessert. Sweet! : )  Thanks Pizza Hut for the sumptuous treat..

BLUE ELEPHANT with the girls

We decided to have a break from our usual evening routine. Having dinner outside was our first time together. To make a festive event, we chose to eat at  BLUE ELEPHANT in IT Park.

Here are the foods we ate--> Steak, Crabbie Rice and Pineapple and nut rice ( I guess), Fruity Drink, Calamares, and Spicy and Sour Sour  ( my fave actually).

GOOD POINTS
1) The foods looked so appetizing and tempting.

2) The strong flavors of being spicy and sour gave it good kick which made the taste awesome.
3) The interiors were fabulous with all the blue colors in the place and etc.

BAD POINTS
1) The space was just quite cramped.

2) That's all.... :)

Lunch DATE with the Girls

This post was so 48 years ago..  I guess December of last year. We headed to SM and ate @ CAFE LAGUNA. In fairness,  their ambiance was so festive with really nice interior.

These were the foods that we ordered.

FUN TIME @ DONG JUAN

This was my decent meal after my trip last week. :( Damn..  Anyhow, thinking of going to Dong Juan always make me excited each time. So when I visited the place again, I felt so at home and comfy...:)

The bad thing was we needed to wait for the foods to be cooked. Well then, it was just the way it was. :)

We ordered their famous cheeseburgers, green salad and the irresistable shrimp pasta. (My beau and friends know I am a pasta person...:)    )...  Can't wait  for my next visit there again... ;)

The Avenue of Stars is a salute to eminent Hong Kong film workers for their devoted contribution to local and world theatres. With many visitors to Hong Kong being fans of our movies, the Avenue of Stars also serves as a tourist attraction. Upon completion of the Avenue of Stars on 27 April 2004, Dr. Cheng Yu-tung, Chairman of the New World Group, took pride to hand it over to the Hong Kong SAR Government. Henceforth, it has become public property destined for the enjoyment of visitors and all Hong Kong citizen

*** So lucky that these places were just one  bus stop away from where we stayed. Just look for the   Victoria Ferry sign on the buses and it wil bring you there..

The NGONG PING Experience 360

Going to Lantau Island was easy. It was just similar route going to Disney but instead of stopping @ Sunny bay station, we had to stop @ Tung Chung Station. From there, we had to ride the Cable Car to the island. The whole cable car experience was way better in Ocean park's one because it was a 25-minute ride. You could see spectacular views of rolling grasslands, panoramic vistas of North Lantau Country Park and South China Sea and Hongkong's international airport.

Plus, in the island itself, you could catch a glimpse of the mighty Tian Tan Buddha Statue, the world's largest seated outdoor bronze Buddha.

** As a Catholic myself, I witnessed how the place became a tourist destination at the same time a place of refuge for those people who believe in Buddha. They peacefully knelt down and prayed in silence while tourist like me took pictures and got amazed with the views. That for me was amazing how people tried to respect each other. Very nice experience, indeed.

VIVA Macau!!!

On our third day of stay in HK, we decided to go the infamous place like Macau. Who wouldn't know Macau, right? We went there just in time before the last trip going there at 10:00 AM. At first, we decided not to have any tour guide like just what happened in HK. But as we went out the ferry's terminal, a bunch of Filipino workers approached us to offer they would help us tour the whole place. The first offer was at $100 per head but we lowered down the price to only $60. :)

** Here are the places we've been to
Venetian Hotel
City Of Dreams
4 Seasons Hotel
Hard Rock Hotel
Stanley's Hoos' Casino and Treasures
Mocha Casino
Fascade of the Ruins of St. Pail

#Our Ferry ticket's price was 290 HKD only because of the discounted price from our landlord.. How SWEET!

** FREEBIES in MACAU
- bottles of water when you enter their casinos
- snacks when you become of member of their casinos and play your free coupons
- transportation like the Hotel's buses in getting around the whole place
- free snacks and smoked meat near the Ruins of St. Paul
** FREEbies Haven, I must say .
