VLOG : My Mother's Hometown in Bohol and Eating Fresh Sea Urchins

Hello guys. Let's welcome a new month with a travel adventure. This time, I'd love to share here my family trip that happened weeks ago when we visited my mother's place. At first, we all thought it was just a normal vacation to break our current routine in the city then it was way more than that. Boy, we were all damn wrong. Unexpectedly, they prepared good things like fresh foods  there so we could all have some good time and make new memories as well. If I were to summarize that trip, then I'd definitely say it's one for the books. Something unexpected but definitely hits the right spot. A second home indeed for all of us.

Some random video of the shore in her place and my active niece

Going Home From A Beach VLOG + Things I've Learned

Hello guys. As you can tell, I've been to the beach recently. My skin's a bit dark but heck I'm not complaining at all. The beach and the sea in general always have this special place in my heart. It will always be my comfort zone and my go-to-place to escape when life gets a bit tougher than expected. I've come to realize that spending your time at the beach has some good benefits both mentally and physically. I'll count the ways here.

Things I've Learned From My Beach Trip
1. The Sand
Walking barefoot on the sand is always a good activity. It has this therapeutic benefit because you are on with the earth. One good thing also is it naturally exfoliates the dead skin cells of your feet literally. Another one is it's a good form of exercise.

2. The horizon
You have the sight in front of you where the sky meets the sea. This picturesque view always gives someone an inspiration. It makes someone stop and stare at sight. I believe something pleasing to they eyes like that will always give good effects to mind.

3. Beach waves and sound of nature
This combination is a perfect lullaby. Why? It has this calming effect that easily makes someone fall asleep and take a nap at the beach. If you have the chance, sit on a hammock and just fall asleep. You'll be rejuvenated in no time. Trust me. :)

4. The warm sunshine
Nothing gets better than this. With the warm sunshine  hitting your skin, it just feels so relaxing and comforting. Of course, don't forget to wear your sunscreen, some cover up and your hat for that added protection. Plus, getting some Vitamin D from the warm sun is always a good idea.

5. The beach itself
The beach itself is the perfect playground to hang out and be yourself. Nothing gets more natural than that. Maximizing the resources you have around, I'm pretty sure there's no dull moment when you're at the beach.

My Travel Vlog

That's a wrap for me. Absolutely, the beach is just the perfect place to relax and push the reset button. Truly, you'll go home feeling much better and more inspired.

VLOGGING : Lambug Beach in Badian Cebu

Welcome back to my blog everyone. I'm greeting this new month of July with a random vlog about our beach trip. It was in Lambug Beach which is in Badian located in the southern part of Cebu. The main purpose of that trip was like a company outing and I just accompanied him by the way. How lucky.

Actually, it was my first time there and I didn't have any expectations whatsover because I was running short of sleep and your girl right here was like grouchy and not in the mood. But wait, lo and behold, when I took a walk down to the beach, I was greeted with a long stretch of fine white sand. Also, it was the right time to witness the romantic sunset. How nice it was. Looking at it was like a breath of fresh air. Overall, that weekend getaway was truly what I needed. Something new, relaxing and filled with new memories and new found friends.

Here's my VLOG about our experience there

Here are the top 5 activities to do there
1. Play games to strengthen your bond as a team
2. Walk barefoot on the sand
3. Swim like nobody's watching
4. Watch the picturesque sunset and cloud formations
5. Slow down and just take it all in

That's it for us. Thanks for reading this blog entry. As always, stay hungry. See you in my next adventure.

Travel Vlog : Let's go to Negros Oriental

Hey guys. I'll do a major throwback about my trip to Negros Oriental. I've decided to make a travel vlog to document my experiences there. Let's go and explore these places together. First, I'll showcase Pulangbato waterfalls, Red Rock Hotspring Resort, then go to Twin Lakes Balinsasayao.

My Travel Vlog : Let's go to Negros Oriental

Some information
Pulangbato falls  literally means red rocks. It's located in the Ocoy valley, town of Valencia, Negros Oriental. It takes 30 - 40 minutes away from Dumaguete. The place got its name from the reddish color of the rocks found everywhere in the waterfalls. The color of the rocks get its natural color from Mt. Talinis, an active volcano. By the way, Valencia is known for its geothermal sources of energy like those red rocks somehow.

If there's a volcano, then expectedly there should be some hot spring resort like the RED ROCK HOTSPRING resort just found nearby. These waters here contain powerful ions, minerals and radioactive gases. All these have healing benefits to the body.

PULANGBATO WATERFALLS
Address: Red river Valley resort, Brgy. Malabo, Valencia, Negros Oriental
Entrance : P 20

RED ROCK HOTSPRING RESORT
Address : Caidiocan, Valencia, 6215, Negros Oriental
Phone # : 0916 451 0113

Next, TWIN LAKES BALINSASAYAO. This is located in the town of Sibulan, Negros Oriental. It usually takes less than an hour from Dumaguete City. It is a perfect getaway if you're looking for some real fun and adventure. Just the perfect escape from the city itself.

HOW TO GO THERE?
1. Take a tricycle. Tell the driver that your destination is the terminal of the jeep / bus going to SAN JOSE.
2. From there, tell the driver that you need to drop off the junction going to Lake Balinsasayao. Your key point is that this area is after you pass by the Sibulan proper and just remind the driver once again.
3. After you get off, it will be an uphill climb.
4. No need to worry because there are many motorcycles waiting
( habal-habal in our dialect) for hire. Hire a motorcycle going up to the twin lakes.
5. Make some arrangement with the driver. In our case, we paid P 300 / person including waiting time for 3 hours and two-way route already.
**Prices may vary according to how you negotiate with the driver.

Twin Lakes Balinsasayao RATES
Entrance fee - P10 / person and P30 / car
Umbrella cottage - P 100 / day (donation only for those who will not eat)
Big bangka (boat) - P 250 / hour up to 7 pax
Kayak - P 100 / hour

** Prices may change without prior notice.

I guess that's pretty much it. It was fun  writing about this.  So guys, if you are in Dumaguete, plan a side trip and go to this place. It's a good location to experience ZEN and be ONE with nature. Till next time. See you in my next travel destination.

Travel Vlog: Ameya-Yokocho Market in Tokyo

Raise your hands if you like shopping and culture at the same time! Yes!! That includes me definitely. Well, I have here a good place that you can visit if ever you travel to Japan. What I mean is this exciting place named Ameyayokocho Market in Euno, Tokyo. Let's continue and discover its beauty.

What is  it about?
From my research, the name literally means a candy shop alley. Don't be misguided because this place basically has everything. They have food stores and street food vendors too, cosmetic shops, Japanese anime goods and character shops, souvenirs and everything in between.

My Travel Vlog

Top 5 Reasons to Visit This Place
  • The prices of the products being sold are fairly reasonable and sometimes much cheaper compared to the ones in Shinjuku and Ginza.
  • The variety and uniqueness of the items are just so interesting and fun to explore.
  • It's the best place to get the famous Kitkat chocolate because they sell pretty cheaply. Basically, it's the best place to go for souvenir shopping.
  • Strolling the place literally feels like you're one with the locals and tourists alike.
  • Lastly, it's the best market to be in Tokyo if you love shopping, good foods and culture rolled into one experience.

That's a wrap for now my friends. Thanks for visiting my blog. See you in my next travel destination. Take care.
