WELCOME TO INSADONG, the traditional town of South Korea
At first, when I heard about traditional town suddenly it gave me an impression that it would be something boring and uninteresting. Boy, I was damn wrong. Then I realized that it may be traditional but packaged in a modern twist. It is a mix of everything nice, cultural and innovative.
Enjoy the bits and pieces of photos here. Random finds while walking
** Some cultural performance here in the street in relation to their Choseuk celebration. A kind of thanksgiving event for them.
TRIVIA: Jipangyi is a traditional Korean snack that is very popular in Insadong, Korea. It is a “J' shaped corn snack and is made of corn injected with soft icecream
** The original Korean Japangyi ice cream I found in thePhilippines is also here. But this one looks so legit and yummy. ^ ^
**Sale season is so common here. You can never get tired some really good bargain without sacrificing the quality. P S : My piggy bank died today because of the cosmetics shops around. OMG
** The facade of the buildings look so beautiful and chic. Then I found out that the outside appearance of the business establishments in Korea is part of the package to attract more buyers to enter the place and eventually buy some things. The more beautiful your place is, the more chances that people will buy stuffs from you. ( Now I know)
** Eating shaved ice cream while strolling. Looks small here but nah, this one is quite big for us. Something cool and refreshing to eat while walking. One more please ^ ^
** Then I got to have a picture of young baby girl wearing Hanbok, Korea's traditional costume. Doesn't she look so adorable? ^ ^
** Random bamboo massager ( I don't know if this word even exists? ) Truth be told, this one really works effectively. Perfect for souvenirs. We brought home 2 pieces. ** Got a good deal too! Happy dance
