REVIEW: Moringa Hand Cream by The Bodyshop

Hello lovely friends! In connection to the summer months here in the Philippines, I am back here to review the MORINGA HAND CREAM by THE BODY SHOP to give our hands some tender loving care despite the heat. It's like late last year that I happened to test this hand cream while waiting for a friend. Since then, I couldn't have a chance to buy it. I don't know why and how. Just recently, finally I decided to purchase it and give in to my heart's desire somehow.  ( Excuses excuses... ) It only costs P195 (already discounted from the original price of P 250 ) in any The Bodyshop's stores.

WHAT'S THIS?
This Moringa hand cream helps soften and protect hands with light, juicy moisture. The instantly absorbing formula is a good deal for on-the-go hydration.
It comes in a travel-sized tube with a black cap. The cap is extremely helpful to lock in the product inside and avoid it from spilling all over the handbag. The cream is pale yellow in color and contains hard-pressed seed oil from hand picked moringa pods.

KEY INGREDIENT is Shea Butter.

HOW TO USE:
Squeeze a small amount onto hands and massage well.

 PROS

  • It is in a travel-friendly tube suitable to bring anywhere you want to go.
  • It is absorbed instantly on the skin.
  • It gives a non-greasy moisture once applied on the hands.
  • It has a subtle mild floral fragrance.
  • The scent somehow makes anyone happy or cheerful in a way. You have to try it for yourself to understand what I mean. ^  ^

CONS
  • It doesn't provide long lasting moisture. That means it has to be reapplied once needed.

PERSONAL THOUGHTS

I did enjoy the light and creamy texture of the hand cream on my skin. I like the thought that it is absorbed quickly and provides a decent amount of moisture somehow. I truly don't mind applying this over and over again if  that means I'd smell the Moringa scent also. It's like hitting 2 birds with one I guess.

Overall, I'd still like to buy this hand cream merely because I truly love the Moringa fragrance to it. Absolutely, this will surely be one of my handbag staples.

PS : If you're using a good hand cream as of now, let me know. I guess sharing is loving.

That's it for now. Hope you all have a good week. Take care! ^ ^

REVIEW : Nature Republic Real Nature Mask Sheet in Aloe

Hello everyone. Wow, its April already like the fourth month of the year!! Why do I have this feeling that time is so freaking fast? Haha Why? Probably it's just me? Tell me what you think about it. Anyway, I have here a review about a Nature Republic's Real Nature Mask Sheet in Aloe. This was highly recommended by my friend because of the Philippines' hot and humid weather conditions.

WHAT'S IT ABOUT?

It's a sheet mask that contains aloe extract. It soothes irritated skin and makes it smooth and soft.

HOW TO USE according to the directions at the back.
1. After washing the face, apply toner to prepare the skin for the next skin care.
2. Open the pouch, pull out the mask and place it on the face using the eye are to align it correctly.
3. Remove after 10-20 minutes and gently pat for better absorption.
** You may also apply the remaining essence on the neck and other parts of the body that need moisture.

What I like about is the refreshing scent and the soothing feeling when it is placed on the face. You can also put this in the fridge for about 30 minutes before using it to make it colder.

This is how the mask looks like in both of us.
MOTTO: A couple that puts on mask together stays young forever

PROS
  • It's pretty cheap and reasonable.
  • It has a refreshing scent.
  • It soothes my tired face and skin.
  • It somehow brightens my skin.
  • It makes my skin soft and supple.
  • It contains more essence than the others available in the market.
  • The size of the sheet mask is big enough for both men and women alike.
FYI: My husband is also enjoying this mask. He likes to put this on after shaving because of the soothing effect on the skin.

CONS
  • It can't be easily bought here in Cebu. Kindly refer to the shops online for Nature Republic's products.
  • The effects of the sheet mask is quite temporary as expected.

PERSONAL THOUGHTS
Overall, I am pleased with this sheet mask by Nature Republic. If only I can easily go to Korea anytime, then I'd definitely hoard these sheet masks and use them whenever my skin feels dull and tired. This is definitely a must try for all ladies and gents out there. That's it for now. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend ahead.

REVIEW : QUICK FX No- Shine Mattifier

Wow, can't believe that this is already the last week of March. Time totally run so fast recently. That means here in the Philippines, we will now welcome the summer months which is the hottest time of the year. I kid you not. Totally the hottest and the most humid of the year! OMG
Because of that, I am back to review another primer which can be easily bought in any leading Watson's store. What I am talking about is the QUICK FX No-Shine Mattifier. It's just around P80+ , very affordable.

WHAT'S IT ABOUT?
This is a light moisturizer  (but more of a primer) that helps hide imperfections such as fine lines and pores while providing an exceptional smooth matte finish. Also it helps prevent and treat pimples without drying out the skin.

The size of this 10g .
It has Salicylic acim Chamomile, Tea tea extract and MatteWax

HOW TO USE?

To use under makeup: Apply to freshly-cleaned skin. Pat on problem area and use your fingertips to blend the product on the skin

To use over makeup : Pat on lightly over makeup and blend for a smoother finish and more radiant looking skin.

** BEFORE AND AFTER

PROS

  • It is easily available in the market and pretty cheap.
  • It can have dual functions like that of a primer and moisturizer.
  • It somehow cancels the shine on my face especially on the T-zone area.
  • It makes my skin look dewy and smooth after applying on my face.

CONS
  • This product cancels the shine on the face but it doesn't last long so you need to re-apply once needed.
  • You need to wash your face  at night and make sure to remove the product on the face or else it will clog your pores and eventually give you breakouts like it did to me.
  • It doesn't really hide skin imperfections  like fine lines and wrinkles completely. That's quite understandable because of the price I guess.

PERSONAL THOUGHTS
Overall, I am impressed with the performance of this drugstore primer from QUICK FX. If you are on the look out for  a cheap moisturizer/ primer, then try this one. Also this summer heat totally screams putting on a good primer to somehow keep us fresh all day long without looking oily and greasy. You know what I mean. ^ ^
Have a good week ahead guys!
