PRODUCT EMPTIES # 5 The Lucky SEVEN

Welcome back to my blog guys. Now, I have prepared here my fifth  installment of my Product Empties. This is just a kind of diary online so I can keep track of the products I've used. Also, it feels good to write about them one by one and think that I've religiously consumed them too.  That feeling that no penny is wasted is like music to my ears. ^ ^ Anyhow, let's go down to business and explore them one by one.

PRODUCT EMPTIES # 5 MY LUCKY SEVEN

1. Nyx Xtreme Shine Lip Cream in Dolly Girl

It is rich lip cream that provides a strong pigmentation. It also has a silky and glossy finish. In my opinion, it's a perfect combination of a lipstick and a lip gloss all in one package. This Dolly Girl shade looks like a baby pink which really gives a feminine color.

VERDICT:  I like this lip cream a lot because it's very build-able. I can make it look light and deep depending on the mood I am in. Also it gives enough moisture to the lips throughout the day.  Just a warning though, you have to use a makeup remover because sometimes it stains the lips pretty strongly.

2. Holika Holika  Dessert  Time Lip Balm

This lip balm is part of their Dessert themed Lip balm series. It has a sweet strawberry flavor in it. Once applied, it gives a slight hint of red and glossy finish.

**For a detailed review about this lip balm, check out this link. I reviewed this before.

VERDICT: I like the lip balm formula of this surprisingly. However, the packaging isn't that sturdy and it doesn't have an applicator so it's best to use this  before leaving the house.

3. Nivea Pore Minimiser Scrub

This is the extra white repair facial scrub. It promises to gently exfoliate to cleanse away impurities and 10-makeup residues to minimize the appearance of acne, large pores and dark spots. It also contains micro-beads.

VERDICT: I like this one because the micro-beads are not that strong. Then, I like how clean my face feels and looks after washing it with this one. Also, a little goes a long way so it's very economical to use. Good job Nivea.

4. The Bodyshop's Moringa Hand Cream

This Moringa hand cream helps to soften and protect our hands with a good amount of moisture. It has an instantly absorbing formula that is good for on-the-go-hydration.

**For a more deeper review about this, check out my previous post and get to know this better.

VERDICT: This is a winner for me. Totally worth buying.

5. Nivea Creme

This is a good moisturizer for the body and hands as well. It promises to give our skin rich and mild care whenever it needs it.

VERDICT: Another buy for me. I like that I got it in a small size that is 30 ml.  It's very handy to bring anywhere. Indeed, it just never fails.

6. Lux Body Wash

It is a body wash that has a purple liquid and floral scent at the same time. It's formulated  with amazing fragrance that lingers on the skin. The variant I have is Magic Spell. It's like a mesmerizing black orchid that leaves a good impression  to those around you.

VERDICT: I like how soothing the scent is. Basically that's the main reason why I bought it. But if you're looking for stronger moisture, then this isn't the one for you. This is just a so-so product for me.  I guess it isn't worth the hype it's getting.

7. Kojie San Body Lotion

It is a light and non-greasy lotion that whitens, moisturizes, lightens scars and the broad spectrum SPF 25 protects our skin from harmful UV rays. I repeat it's very moisturizing to use.

VERDICT: It's really a good body lotion especially it has shea butter. That means the scent lingers on the skin which is pretty good. A body lotion and a mild body perfume at the same time. ^ ^ A winner for me.

Yes, that's all for today. Once again, thanks for taking the time to read this empties review. I appreciate it a lot. If you have some comments, product recommendations for me and everything in between, then you can always leave a message down there.

Take care and always be safe!

REVIEW: NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream In Morocco

Hi beautiful people. I've always been the traditional type of person wearing lipstick shades of red and pink and everything in between. Then one day, I thought why not try an orange-y shade this time to break the monotony.  Hmm that was quite an impulse right there. Haha Read on to find out my experience.

What's it about?

It is neither a lipstick nor a lip gloss. This matte lip cream is a new lip color  that goes on silky smooth  and sets to a matte finish. Soft matte lip cream is durable and lasts for a longer time.

About the shade Morocco, it is a bright shade of orange with a hint of coral too.

The scent of this is like a bubblegum sweet candy but it disappears once applied on the lips.

How I feel about it and my experiences?

It instantly gives a huge difference on my face. I suddenly look healthy, happy and glowing. Haha

* The shade Morocco really looks bright and coral-y at first. I mean you can always make it look deeper and lighter depending on my application and layering.
* Because it's a matte formula, the staying power is pretty long. But it may turn patchy and highlight the dry section of our lips so it's better to exfoliate and apply a heavy duty lip balm first before using it.
* The shade Morocco tends to make our teeth a bit yellowish so you can always brush your teeth pretty well or just apply this thinly / lightly making it not look  so deep and rich in color.

PROS
  • The color pay off is really good.
  • You can always make it look brighter or lighter. Very build-able
  • Easy application on the lips
  • Easy to use and comes handy
  • Stays long and dries matte
  • Really reasonably priced

CONS
  • Makes out lips look patchy, dry and somehow flaky
  • Makes our teeth look yellowish :(
  • If you have dry lips, then this isn't the one for you.

My Final Thoughts
First, I really didn't like it because of the formula compared to Nyx's Xtreme Shine Lip Cream. However, I did find out that we can always layer them both. First, apply the shine lip cream then put the matte lip cream after. They just look good together. If you don't have that one, you can always layer it with any glossy lipstick / lipgloss.

Overall, I like this shade because it instantly lightens up my face making it look youthful and happy. A good happy color I must say. For now, I am on the lookout for other shades from this line hoping I can score a good color that matches me.

That's it for now loves. Take care.

Review: It's My Perfume Hand Cream

Good day lovely friends! I am back to do another review to share my insights and experiences about my latest purchase from Althea. This is It's My Perfume Hand Cream  in Baby Bubble and Honey Berry. It was just an impulse buy I must say because of the cheap price. I kid you not. It's only P70! It's a bargain for me. ^ ^ Let's begin then. Shall we?

What's it about?

First, I have here It's My Perfume Hand Cream in Honey Berry. It has a combination of floral and fruit-y scent  from the berries.

Next, I have the It's My Perfume Hand Cream in Baby Bubble. Here it has a combination of floral scent with a slight kick of menthol/ cool scent.

Both of these hand creams promise to make our hands soft, moisturized and supple. Also, this can be used to care for our fingernails as well.

** The size of the hand cream is 60 ml.

KEY INGREDIENTS : Shea butter, Sunflower seed oil and 4 flower extracts like rosemary, hibiscus, arnica and safflower.

Where can I buy this?
You can this online here, Althea.com .

PROS
  • It is priced reasonably in the market.
  • The size is big enough given its price point.
  • It gives a non-greasy feeling once it's fully absorbed by the skin.
  • It has a subtle mild scent.
  • Also, it serves as a good cream for our fingernails.
  • It gives enough moisture and soften the hands after its application.

CONS
  • The effect of the hand cream isn't long-lasting. It only lasts for  a decent few minutes to an hour.
  • It can't be easily purchased in local shopping malls / department stores.

MY PERSONAL THOUGHTS
Personally, I enjoyed using this hand cream. It gives the moisture I need and I don't mind reapplying this again and again. I already consider this a hand bag staple and I bring it anywhere I go. Worth the price indeed.

That's it for now! Have you used any hand cream that you like to recommend for me? Let me know and let's share ideas together. It'll be fun.
