Around CDO

Around CDO
We arrived there after a loooong trip by ship and van. Knowing the adventurous side within us, we searched for a nice place to stay overnight. Luckily, we went to Divisoria which is the center of the city. Plus, it is the place where most hotels and inns are located. How lucky is that!!! We chose Mass-Spec hotel since it was quite nice with free breakfast already. At night, we went sightseeing. And, I found their used clothing was soooo cheap and of good quality. It was just a waste that we didn’t catch their night markets. It was only every Friday and Saturday nights. Well, I must say the place is way progressive already.

In the morning, we went to the famous Limketkai Center, the biggest and commercial complex in Mindanao. Finally, we bought some pastels as our souvenirs and off we went to the airport to go back to Cebu. ( Planning to back there again to try things that I missed esp. white water rafting and zipline.)

Second day in Camiguin

We headed to its famous white sand beach which is just adjacent to our resort that we stayed.

White Island is ideal for swimming, sunbathing and snorkeling the intensely vibrant reefs around it, White Island resides two (2) kilometers off the coast of Agoho, Mambajao is the Camiguin's popular sand bar. At times it is in the shape of the letter C, sometimes the letter I, depending on the ocean tide. It has the picturesque Mount Hibok-Hibok and Old Vulcan as its backdrop. There is no shade spots on this island, so sensitive folks would be wise to remember sun block and/or beach umbrella.

After that, we decided to go back to Ardent spring to take a dip there for the last time. Indeed, that chance was marvelous since it was not that noisy and crowded in the morning. After lunch, we headed to CDO. :D

Exploring the WONDERS of Camiguin

 Since we didn’t have any breakfast, we decided to eat in some LIVE Seafood restaurant to satisfy our tummies after that tiring trip. The place was great and it was nice to actually relax our minds while taking a look at the wide sea.
About the foods, they were tasty and we even had some crabs. Tummy was happy again. 
The weather didn’t cooperate with us since rain kept on pouring already. However, that didn’t stop us from cancelling our tour in the island.

** First stop: Katibawasan Falls: It was way bigger than the one we have in Cebu. It is 250-feet majestic beauty surrounded by wild orchids, virgin trees and captivating surroundings.

** Second stop: The OLD church: It is also known as Catarman Church RUINS. It is devastated by volcanic erruptions in 1871. However, the beauty of an old Spanish church at the same time its culture during the Spanish era still remains there. The back view of the church is also recommended for pre-nup pictorials. :D

** Third stop: Sunken Cemetery: The whole capital of Camiguin, with its cemetery, sunk under the sea. In the following years, the sunken land and the gravestones can still be seen when the tide is low. But in 1948 until 1953, Mount Vulcan erupted again, sinking the whole area deeper, to around twenty feet. In 1982, a large cross was built on the solidified lava to mark the site that became the graves of the ancestors of the Camiguin people. It has become a sunken cemetery. Now, it is one of the world̢۪s most unique diving sites.

** Fourth Stop: Side of the road: I forgot the name of this place but it's nice to have pictorials since the view of the sea and its mountains can all be seen.

** Fifth stop: Ardent Hot spring: This is the local hot spa with a natural pool about 40 degrees centigrade springing from the depths of Mt. Hibok-Hibok. Well, this is my favorite spot since I can rejuvenate both my mind and body.

From MACTAN airport in CEBU to LUMBIA airport in CDO

Mactan airport @ CEBU to Lumbia airport @ CDO
Since our flight was at 5:20 in the morning, so I had to wake up at @ 2AM. Wow, lack of sleep didn’t stop me from having mixed emotions. Imagine, this was my first trip in 2 years. SO LONG WAIT. I met up with beau and other friends on our way to the airport to basically cut down on our expenses.
Anyhow, I was right to go to the airport early because making lines took us more than 1 hour to check in our things and stuffs. Luckily, our flight was on time and off we went to CDO.
BREAKDOWN OF EXPENES:
*** taxi fare= 250/4= P 62.5
*** terminal fee= P 200

WELCOME TO BENONI port in CAMIGUIN

We arrived at airport at somewhat 6 in the morning. The sun was up and so were we. We decided to head directly to Camiguin to enjoy the island tour and everything else. We rode a taxi from the airport to Balingoan Port in CDO which was an an hour and a half ride to Benoni port in Camiguin. We chose that way to have a faster access to Camiguin by riding PARAS SEA CAT . We purchased ticket at the terminal and we got the first trip which was at 8:30AM. We were somewhat hungry actually since we didn’t have any chance to eat some decent breakfast due to time constraint. I just had some biscuits and that was it. 
We arrived at Benoni port after 2 hours and a half. I could still remember how the ride was. We experienced rough seas and even rainy minutes in the middle of the trip. Finally, more or less 12PM, we arrived there. We kept on looking for our resident contact there in the island who was SONNY. We arranged some day tour for us, plus pick up.

It was like few months back that I ate there a couple of times @ Kul's Kitchen. I must say there foods are fantastic and tasty. And most importantly, the foods are reasonable. Wow, it's always heaven whenever I eat there. :D

Friday LUNCH @ TOKYO JOE'S

Knowing the adventurous in me, I suggested about having lunch out together on a weekday... ahhaha. Just like college students, I guess. :D At SM, I really had no idea in mind where I would spend my lunch.. Hmm.. The best place my eyes saw was Tokyo Joe's. It's a cheap resto that satisfy your craving for Jap foods. So BENTO meals were our fave since it's a complete package already. I had beef one and he had the chicken style in it. Plus, we had miso soup and california maki..:D NICE!! NICE! NICE! Tummy was happy again..:D

CAFE ELYSA @ PARI-AN

This is a late blog about my food trip at Cafe Elysa. I went there out of curiosity after reading some food blog. So I decided to check out the place first-hand. When I entered the resto, it was simple, cozy and enticing. It looked like a gallery of memories with all the paintings hanging on the wall and the old photos being displayed. COOL concept, I must say.

For the food verdict... The foods on the menu were weird for me because they sounded so foreign . :) We ordered spaghetti, seafood chowder, cucumber salad, and lumpia ( spring roll) .. Whoa.. Their foods were yummy but a bit greasy. The best food that I liked the most was their seafood chowder. It was heaven, creamy and tasty. So unexplainable it is..

Dazed and Bewildered

This week started with a gloomy feeling. Just don't know how it happened. :( It's just the way it is..:( So the title already speaks for itself..

Anyhow, I used to wake up in the morning cheerful and think what might happen each day. However, recently, I seem to lose my eagerness and passion to do something. I know I may sound ungrateful for saying such statement. ( It's just what I feel truly.)

Times like this, I suddenly miss my girlfriends.:( Just chatting with them and just talk about anything under the sun. How I wish !! :( Well, as they say, you don't always get what you want in life. SO... (thinking mode)... The remedy is just to think like this-- MIND OVER MATTER and divert my attention to simple things that put a smile on my face, ayt? OYE OYE!! :D

Just looking forward to the festivity this Friday.. ;)
Have a good night..<3 class="separator" div="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
