Review: Benton Shea Butter and Olive Hand Cream

Hi guys. Its been a while. I am back with a review. I don't know about you but since I entered the 30's world, my skin particularly my hand has become dry.  Not gonna lie but still hand cream usually ends up at the bottom of my skincare priorities.  I have here a good hand cream and its from Benton. It's the Shea Butter and Olive Hand Cream.

What's it about?
* It contains 10% of Ecocert certified Shea Butter and 2% Olive Oil. These are great ingredients for protecting the skin, retaining moisture and keeping hands soft and supple.
It contains Hyaluronic Acid and Panthenol to help moisturize the skin.
* It is dermatologically tested and formulated with EWG green grade ingredients that you can use without issues.  It is free of artificial fragrance, color, silicon oil and other harmful ingredients.

Key Ingredients List
*Shea Butter moisturizes rough and dry skin and locks in moisture.
*Olive Oil helps prevent skin aging. It also forms a moisture barrier which prevents moisture loss and helps keep skin to be firm.

Recommended for the Following Skin Types
*Rough hands with dead skin cells due to dryness
*Sensitive skin
*Skin with poor oil-water balance
*Users that prefer a natural scent over artificial fragrance

My Random Snapshots

My Overall Thoughts and Experiences

  • It has this mild scent similar to the moringa hand cream from the Body Shop. Because of that, it smells very soothing and refreshing to the senses.
  • It has this white rich cream at first but instantly melts once it touches the skin. It's easily absorbed by the skin making the hands moisturized and soft.
  • Since it has a lightweight consistency, it spreads smoothly without that tackiness and heavy feel.
  • I'm loving this minimalist - kind of packaging. Very straightforward. Sleek and simple. Just the perfect size to put inside my handbag.
  • One thing that is very noticeable is how fast absorbing it is.
  • With regards to the effects it does on the hands, I can feel my hands are greatly moisturized for hours. Even if you're inside an air conditioned room still the effects are the same.  Probably because of the olive oil ingredient. It forms a moisture barrier which prevents moisture loss for a period of time.
  • This is definitely worth the effort and money if that would mean we'll have a pair of healthy, beautiful and moisturized hands.

Tips and Tricks
  • Be careful not to put too much on your hands as the scent tends to be strong and overpowering at times.
  • One more thing. If you are staying in a place with a normal room temperature, using a pea size of it is already enough. I tried squeezing about 1/2 teaspoon of the product and it felt quite thick on the hands and I needed some time to make it fully be absorbed by the hands. It felt quite sticky  and somewhat uncomfortable too. Moderation is the key.

Well that's a wrap. Let's turn back the time of our skin with this freshly released hand cream. Also, Benton has provided this product for review purposes. Thanks for reading this blog entry. Always stay inspired and be on the lookout for new opportunities in life.
