National Museum of Japanese History

Hello guys. I'll introduce my trip to Japan in bunches. Firstly, I have here a good museum that we visited on our first day. Surprisingly, that place exceeded my expectations and I was just left speechless and I definitely learned a lot of things. If you have a chance, please drop by and be immersed in Japanese culture and history at the same time. Friends, let me introduce National Museum of Japanese History.

What's it about?
The National Museum of Japanese History is also known in Japanese as Rekihaku. This museum is divided into 6 galleries and exhibits historical goods which are presented creatively from the old to the modern times.

Where is it located?
It's located in Sakura, Chiba prefecture, which is a quick 15-minute train ride from Narita City.

Top Five Reasons to Visit
  • This place is the best place to go first if you go to Japan. It gives you a good introduction of Japanese history and culture.
  • This is not your average museum like the others. It also has a theme park and restaurant as well. It's a complete experience already.
  • The entrance fee is pretty affordable but the experiences you'll get after visiting there is incomparable.
  • Visitors can freely engage in some activities there like using traditional musical instruments and learning basic calligraphy.
  • Lastly, before leaving this museum, please try their traditional foods in the restaurant like the brown rice and curry sauce and check out interesting stuffs from their gift shop too.
