REVIEW : One Step Cleanser by Yvesom Official

Hello everyone! How's the month of April going so far? If you ask me, it's been busy and the weather has been killing me literally. Since I only work from home, it sometimes feel uncomfortable to be staying in a warm room and dry air conditioned room. No good choices at the moment. Anyhow, good thing I practice my skincare routine and it really does make me feel better somehow. That includes sheet masking and cleansing of course. Here I have a recommendation of a good cleanser that will make you feeling refreshed. What I am talking about is this One Step Cleanser.

Background of the COMPANY

Yvesom Official is a pure eco-friendly natural cosmetic brand. It has excluded 20 harmful ingredients  and 26  allergenic cosmetic ingredients that are not good for the skin. It also has manufactured all of its products  with pure and only all natural ingredients  that are all good for everybody even those with sensitive skin types. Now let's go back to the product itself. :) 

What does it do?

It claims to eliminate sebum and blackheads. It also promises to help remove makeup easily. The best thing of this is it claims to detox and clean the skin from deep within.

Key Ingredients

•  Spiraluna extract -> famous for its detox effect

• Coconut oil, jojoba oil, Kahai oil and oilve oil -> all natural oils to provide a moist layer on the surface of the skin
• Acai berry extract,  cucumber extract, blueberry extract and lemon scented tea tree oil -> revitalize the skin

My Overall Thoughts / Experiences

• TEXTURE - It has this interesting consistency.  It transforms into this light foamy lather when mixed with water.
• SCENT - It has this mild citrus-y and fresh lemon scent. Smells very cooling and refreshing to the senses. For those that are quite sensitive, this might be a little bit overboard / unpleasant for you.
• As for the daily effects, it does make the skin soft, smooth and nourished. It does deeply cleanse the skin without drying it.
• Does feel very gentle and mild especially around the eyes and mouth area.
• After using this for about a week or so, I noticed my skin feels tight and plump.
• Also, my T-zone tends to be less oily.
• As for the blackheads part, I can't guarantee if it did help me or not. I need to use this longer somehow.
• A good makeup remover? No. It just removed my makeup partially but there are still some bits left.
• A good second cleanser? Yes! 
• I'd like to commend the ingredients list this product has. It's cruelty free, paraben free and free from any harmful chemicals.
• Overall, this is still a good cleanser and I always have a wonderful experience using this. Though the price is quite steep, I could see good results on the overall appearance and texture of my skin. Worth the try!

A post dedicated to SELF-CARE SUNDAY

For me, self-care is enjoying a good quiet time alone. It may sound simple but it helps me ease my mind and worries and at the same time. it lifts my spirit. This is what I do almost every weekend to help me prepare myself for a busy week ahead. Journaling also helps me write down my thoughts and plans to avoid overthinking. 

Anyhow, here is the list of products I use for #selfcare and I will include some rapid review of each product seen in the photo.

1. One Thing Propolis + Honey Extract

- A constant favorite in my routine

- Love how this makes the skin hydrated, healthy and supple literally

- Feels very nourishing and soothing too

2. Benton Cosmetics Fermentation Eye cream

- Feels very smooth and lightweight

- Glides so well and gives my under eye area that good layer of moisture

- So far, it also makes my eye area firmer and tighter

3. The Plant Base Moisture Pure N Cream 

- This feels so light like a feather

- It's a gel type which is perfect for day use in hot humid countries especially

- This is also a good soothing cream 

4. Benton Cosmetics Air UV Defense Sun Cream

- This functions as a good sunscreen and day cream too especially on hot summer days.

- Very comfortable and layers well under makeup too

***There you have it. For now, take good care of yourself. Rest if you must. Remember you can't pour from an empty cup. (Learned that lesson the hard way recently)

REVIEW : Dear Klair's Rich Moist Soothing Serum

Good day everyone! How's your month of April going so far? Mine is pretty ok except that it feels super hot and humid in the Philippines right now. That means I have a good product to use lightly to beat this heat but still take care of the skin hydration. I'm talking about this rich Moist Soothing Serum by Dear Klair's . Anyhow, let's continue.

What does it claim to do? 

It's a gentle and aqueous serum made with rich blend of organic complexes. This is easily absorbed into the skin to make it soft and replenished.

Key Ingredients

* Phyto-Oglio = Specially formulated to nourish  and moisture the skin

* Centella Asiatica = This is good for soothing acne and redness

* Licorice extract = Inhibits melanin products

* Other fruit and flower extracts

Key Benefits

- Gentle and soothing

- Replenish moisture

- Control oil production

My overall thoughts and experiences

* SCENT : Has this mild herbal smell

* TEXTURE : Has this thick watery texture, lighter kind of serum. Feels sticky at first but once absorbed by the skin, it dries quite nicely

* EFFECTS : Skin instantly looks glowing and healthy. Does work effectively in soothing the skin but doesn't do much in moisturizing the skin.

* EXPERIENCES

- According to what it claims to do, I was hoping this to be more hydrating but it wasn't like that at all. There was no long term effects either.

- This may or may not help with minimizing oil on the skin. Unfortunately, it didn't do much to mine.

- Overall, this can be good to anyone  looking for a gentle and vegan serum that really has good soothing properties. Why? This really performs well in the department. As for me, I'm still on the fence if I truly like this or not. It's because I don't see any outstanding benefits whatsoever.
